Vamp Bikers Feature Film

I’ll be playing an 18-year-old witch, Polina, in an upcoming feature film, Vamp Bikers, by the award-winning Eric Rivas. In one of my favorite scenes so far, I share the stage with Angel Salazar (a.k.a. ‘Chi Chi’ from the Al Pacino film, Scarface). Polina seems like a meek little girl under his thumb but really, she’s a badass.

Here are some screen captures from the shoot!

You’ve Been Tartuffed

Tartuffe - Poster

You’ve Been Tartuffed (a modern adaptation of Tartuffe by Moliere) is my production company, Lickety Split Productions’, first Off-Broadway show! In this vibrant re-imagining, Tartuffe is a narcissistic spiritual guru who gleefully takes advantage of his charismatic power to get whatever he wants from his followers. Masquerading as a righteous man, he preys on the weakness of Orgon, a faded rock-star, to infiltrate his family.

It is produced by Renée Myers and I, and directed by Maridee Slater, who I had the pleasure of working with on Blackout as well.

You’ve Been Tartuffed stars Brazilian telenovela actor, Elcio Monteze, Philipp Gilly (Phantom of the Opera, European tour), Katherine Nedder (The Diary of Anne Frank at Boston Children’s Theater), and Michal Birnbaum (A Dybbuk for Two People) amongst others.

Tickets available at smarttix.com.

Blackout on Blackout

Blackout (Backstage)

Renée and I backstage at Blackout.

So it’s blackout on Blackout! Curtains for the show after more than a month at our Lower East Side theatrical venue.

One of my favorite moments during the run was bringing in Renée Myers as a swing for another actor for just one night. She got to experience and madness and mayhem as part of the show before coming to watch it as a member of the audience on our closing night.

Now that Blackout is over, I am starting work on producing Lickety Split Productions’ first Off-Broadway show. It’s a modern adaptation of Tartuffe by Moliere, and will be staged at the American Theatre of Actors. More information coming soon!

Blackout

Blackout

I’m so excited to be part of this year’s national cast of Blackout, produced by S2BN Entertainment, and directed by Josh Randall and Kristjan Thor.

I can’t say anything about this year’s show except that it runs from Oct 9th – Nov 8th at an amazing 3-storey theatrical venue on the border of the East Village and Lower East Side. If you’ve never heard of Blackout, it’s a super intense interactive theatre performance within a haunted house.

“The extreme theater event of the year. The goal is not to give your nerves a safe tickle; it’s to titillate, unsettle and generally mess with your mind. It succeeds magnificently.”NEW YORK TIMES

People in LA should also check out the upcoming performance that’s part of the Queens of the Stone Age show!

According to our show’s LA WEEKLY review, “Blackout cuts to the disturbingly powerful core of the ‘live theatrical event’, in part by breaking most of the physical taboos of the performer-audience divide.”

So yes… This isn’t your average interactive theater show. Come prepared!

I believe tickets range from about $30 to $80.

The Loft’s Facebook Page

The Loft

We’ve just unveiled the Facebook page of our new web series, The Loft! Please ‘like’ us to keep updated on release dates, trailers, castings, and other goodies.

The Loft Facebook

The Loft follows a motley crew of struggling young creatives whose lives intersect in the illegal DUMBO loft apartment they share.

The four unlikely roommates find their lives increasingly intertwined as they hurtle towards the discovery that one in their midst is not what they seem. They are joined in the loft by an eclectic bevy of supporting characters and uninvited guests who stir up trouble and make themselves quite at home.

MEET THE ROOMMATES…

Emily Hale is a bright eyed and bushy tailed Midwestern girl who moves to New York to be an actress, armed only with two suitcases, bad headshots, and a closet full of skeletons.

Rosalie Song, a kleptomaniacal hippie and nympho who dropped out of Harvard pre-med to do very little with her life. Plays the tambourine, castanets, and triangle in a pretentious band called The Unicorn Club.

Cassius Evans, a meddlesome but charming entrepreneur starting a new dating website after a fast climb down the career ladder. Moonlights as a deodorant tester, club bouncer, flyer distributor, and dildo salesman.

Jane Gallagher, a sneaky and self-obsessed lesbian fashion blogger with a plethora of first world problems. Freshly dumped by her model girlfriend for a more famous husband.

MEET THE REST OF THE CREW…

Sebastian Castille is the pretentious and morally ambiguous co-founder of The Unicorn Club. He is Rosalie’s boyfriend of two years, and the two are in an open relationship.

Andrea Marquez, the third member of The Unicorn Club, is a bohemian starving artist and professional freeloader.

The Casting Director… Well, we’re not giving this one away yet. All we can say is that Nicole Kontolefa is phenomenal in this role. Watch our Facebook page to find out more about The Casting Director in the coming weeks!
